President Obama’s presidential seal decides to have the day off. (x)
Oh President Obama. I do like you. I have issues with you, but down deep, I still have a lot of affection for you.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but Obama is the first president I’ve ever seen who is actually like a person, and not just the guy in the Oval Office.
Maybe it’s because I’m growing older, and seeing politics more, but I really feel like every other president has always been uber-professional, very well behaved, very serious, and they’ve been the president, and that’s it.
Obama is actually personable. Like, he will actually make jokes, like he will actually seem to smile or laugh at something, not just because it’s polite or because he needs to kiss ass.
Like here, he’s just like making light of a funny situation. With the speech earlier, he actually made fun of Trump and Palin, and Fox news, and all that stuff, on stage, in front of the entire country. When O’Reilly attacked him before the super bowl, he didn’t just defend himself, he actually kind of attacked O’Reilly, back, and called him out. (link)
Besides that, he’ll talk about sports. He’s a bulls fan, a bears fan, and you know he watches the super bowl, and does brackets for march madness, and probably saw the playoffs (and watched Lebron cream D. Rose).
He’s the first president I’ve seen who is someone who is an actual person, and not just The President of the United States. And idk, there’s something nice to see that he’s an actual, real person, and not just some figure like that.
Idk, might just be that I’ve grown, or that I’m more in to politics now, but that is somethign I really like about him.
It’s not that he’s unprofessional—it’s that he’s something besides his profession.
